भारतीय समूह ने बदला चर्चिल के वॉर रूम का हुलिया

दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के दौरान ब्रिटेन के तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री विंस्टन चर्चिल के वॉर रूम का हुलिया एक भारतीय कारोबारी समूह ने बदल दिया है। भारत की आजादी के 78 साल बाद यह ऐतिहासिक भवन अब लग्जरी होटल के तौर पर जाना जाएगा। होटल का मालिक भारत का हिंदुजा ग्रुप है। होटल को 29 सितंबर को खोलने की तैयारियां चल रही हैं। यह वॉर रूम 1906 में बना था। द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध के समय चर्चिल यहीं बैठकर रणनीति बनाते थे। इसे ब्रिटिश आर्किटेक्ट विलियम यंग ने डिजाइन किया था। इसमें कई बार बदलाव हुए। यह इमारत कई ऐतिहासिक घटनाओं की गवाह है। इसे जेम्स बॉन्ड की फिल्मों के अलावा हाल ही 'द क्राउन' सीरीज में दिखाया जा चुका है। वॉर रूम की शुरुआत वॉर कांउसिल की मंजूरी के बाद हुई थी। इस काउंसिल में ब्रिटेन के महाराजा और उनके सीनियर आर्मी कमांडर शामिल थे। काउंसिल इंग्लैंड साम्राज्य के युद्ध अभियानों की जिम्मेदारी संभालती थी। हिंदुजा ग्रुप ने 361.81 करोड़ में खरीदा चर्चिल का वॉर रूम लंदन के मशहूर पर्यटक स्थलों में से एक है। यह सेंट्रल लंदन के हॉर्स गाड्र्स एवेन्यू और वाइट हॉल के बीच है। इस ऐतिहासिक इमारत को एक मार्च, 201
